We provide geological-geomechanical and geotechnical reports and investigations

We are one of the leading Slovenian companies in the fields of engineering geology, geotechnics, and geomechanics. Since 1946, we have been conducting field and laboratory soil investigations, assessing geological risks, and producing expert geotechnical reports and geological-geomechanical studies for construction projects throughout Slovenia. With our own research equipment, an ISO 9001 certified quality management system, and licensed engineers, we ensure reliable foundations for safe and economical construction.

What We Offer

Geological report and preparation of geological reports

The preparation of a geological report is the first step in most construction projects. A geological report describes the soil structure, bearing capacity, and foundation conditions at the selected location, serving as the basis for further engineering design. We also prepare a detailed soil composition report that precisely defines the soil layers, their properties, and their suitability for construction.

Geomechanical and geological-geomechanical reports

We prepare geomechanical reports and comprehensive geological-geomechanical reports that integrate geological investigations with geomechanical calculations of bearing capacity, settlement, and stability. We also prepare geomechanical reports for building permits that comply with the requirements of administrative procedures and Eurocode 7 standards.

Geotechnical reports and studies

Our geotechnical reports cover design conditions for foundations, retaining structures, excavation pits, and soil stabilization. All geological-geomechanical studies are based on field investigations, laboratory testing, and the engineering judgment of our experts.

Landslide susceptibility and landslide remediation

We prepare geological reports on landslide susceptibility, assessing the propensity of slopes to slide and the potential risks involved. We also produce geotechnical reports for landslides, which form the basis for designing landslide remediation, slope stabilization, and protective measures.

Hydrogeological report

We prepare hydrogeological reports for groundwater extraction, assessment of soil water conditions, dewatering of excavation pits, and the impact of groundwater on building foundations. In addition to the above, we perform field investigations, laboratory testing, geophysical measurements, designs for anchored excavation pits, as well as designs for piling and soil reinforcement.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is a geological-geomechanical report and when do I need it?

A geological-geomechanical report is a professional document that describes the composition and properties of the soil and provides geomechanical parameters for foundation design. You need it for object construction, foundation planning, and frequently as a geomechanical report for a building permit.

How long does it take to prepare a geological report?

The timeframe depends on the scope of the investigations and the accessibility of the site. Following the completion of field investigations and laboratory testing, we will prepare the geological report or soil composition report within the agreed timeframe; please contact us for an approximate estimate.

When is a geological report on landslide susceptibility required?

A geological report on landslide susceptibility is recommended when building on sloped terrain or in areas with known instability. Based on this report, we prepare geotechnical reports for landslides and propose appropriate remediation measures.

Do you prepare hydrogeological reports?

Yes. We prepare hydrogeological reports to assess groundwater, manage drainage, and evaluate the impact of the water table on construction.
